Rules of Tribal Council

Casting a Vote

At Tribal Council, every contestant casts one vote. You must submit a name, and you cannot vote for yourself.

-

Exceptions & Advantages

Some exceptions and advantages may affect voting. These will always come with an explanation. When in doubt, use the comments box of the voting form to explain yourself (e.g. I want to use my extra vote advantage for ____).

-

Host Prompts for Idols & Advantages

Once all the votes have been submitted, and before the votes are read, the host will prompt the contestants by saying:

“If anyone has an idol or advantage and wants to use it, now would be the time to do so.”

If you want to use your idol or advantage, you would need to speak up at this time.

-

Revealing the Results

The host will reveal the votes, and the contestant with the most votes against them will be eliminated.
-

If Votes are Tied

If there is a tie in the votes between two or more players, there will be a re-vote. Votes can only be submitted for one of the tied contestants (not someone new).

The person with the most votes against them after the re-vote is eliminated.

Important: You cannot play a new idol or advantage in a re-vote, unless otherwise specified.

-
Breaking a Deadlock

If the re-vote does not break the tie, the host declares a deadlock.

At this time, all players will openly discuss (in front of everyone) which of the remaining tied players they want to remove from the game. If the group can unanimously agree on one person, that player is eliminated.

The tied players cannot vote here, but they can speak up to defend themselves!

However, if the group cannot reach a unanimous decision, the vote flips on its head! At this time, the non-immune players* will go to a lottery of “rocks,” and those players who were tied become safe. The host will then draw a name at random, and this person will be the one eliminated at Tribal Council!
-
*Non-immune means a player with no individual immunity in play.

Tribal Council FAQ’s

Q - Do I have to play my idol or advantage?
A - No. You can hold on to it until you want to use it!

Q - Can I play my idol or advantage for someone else?
A - Yes. When prompted by the host (see above), explain this is what you’d like to do.

Q - Can multiple advantages or idols be played in the same Tribal Council?
A - Yes. When prompted by the host (see above), any number of advantages or idols can be played.
Important: The host may not prompt a second time; it’s up to you to speak up.

Q - Can I give the immunity I won in the challenge to someone else?
A - Yes. You can give the immunity you won in the previous challenge to another contestant. However, you must audibly do this before the vote takes place. This is not something the host will prompt.
